East River New York
On Dec 30th 2022, Joe Rogan podcast (#1918) featured John Reeves, who is the owner of a large area of land in Alaska that has unearthed many fossils dating back 22,000 years ago. John announced on the podcast the location where allegedly the museum of national history dumped tons of prehistoric bones into the east river (65th street) in New York City. All of this is according to internal reports drafted by employees of the company he purchased, which was established in the 1920s as a gold mining company. Below is the general area where the bones are said to be dumped.
Reeves said “They took bones from Fairbanks to New York City. Left them in the crates. They ran out of storage and they dumped them in the East River……I'm told by Dick Osborne a box carload….50 tons. Just threw it in the water”.
The title of the draft report acquired by John Reeves is “Early Man in Eastern Bencia. Late place to seen in Early Holocene artifacts and Associated Fauna recovered from Fairbank's Mining District Alaska”, authored by Richard Osborne (The Quadry Center, University of Alaska Museum), Professor Emeritus (University of Wisconsin Madison), Robert Evander (vertebrae Paleontology, American Museum of Natural History) and Robert Satler in Fairbanks, Alaska. They wrote the introduction in this associated draft which was never released and it goes through the history of the bone collecting in Alaska.
Citing the draft report, Reeves said that gold miners shipped off tusks and other bone artifacts to New York. According to the report about the tusks, 'mistakes' were made over the 'acceptable condition' of the bones shipped to New York.
